A buying order by floor and stage

A takeoff tells you how much. A buying order tells you what to order this week, for which floor.

How it works

  • Materials are sorted into build stages (foundations, structure, masonry, framing, board, finishes) and by floor.
  • Waste allowances and pack coverage turn quantities into orderable units.
  • Mark a material bought for one floor or for the job.
  • Lines are marked needed now, up next or installed from your daily and superintendent logs. Each finding quotes the log it came from.

Why it matters

When the estimator, the PM and the supplier each add their own waste, a site can end up with far more block or board than it uses. One shared quantity, traced to the drawings and ordered by stage, keeps one allowance in play.
